How can one develop vertical power?

Developing vertical power can be done in various ways. But should be specific to the movements completed in your sport to achieve the optimal benefits.

Force Production (vertical jump) can be used as an indicator of how well you can generate force in different positions. Whether starting from a static position (e.g. Rugby Scrum), Countermovement Jump (Most Athletic Movements) or Running Vertical Jump (Volleyball/Basketball), power training should be specific to the athletes’ goals and deficiencies.

And of course Isokinetic machines/ training , especialy a squat unit, are an efficient and safe way to enhance vertical power.
