Can I use physical therapy equipment such as the Isomed to train athletes to enhance their Type IIB fiber?

 The Isokinetic system is speed related. In rehab, it’s generally used from low speeds, from 10 degrees per second up to 250 degrees per second to engage the Type II fast twitch muscle fiber. It’s simply a matter of increasing the speed, and decreasing their load. With the Isomed rehab equipment, the speed of the system is unlimited. So yes, the answer is it can be used to enhance Type II muscle fiber.

Will a T-REX circuit facilitate all body parts, or will I need additional equipment?

The T-REX is a 5-station modulus system that incorporates upper body and lower body, and anchor functional exercises. So yes, it completes it – It trains a complete body.

Will I need additional equipment?

The warranty is 10 years on the mainframe components. Constant software support from the IT side of things, and normal warranty on consumables that are subject to normal wear and tear, and the customer pays for items that are damaged due to misuse.

At what stage can I start using FASTTWITCH ISO equipment?

In terms of age and-or injury, the age of the system has no limitation. As long as the person’s body is capable of fitting on the equipment to operate correctly, biomechanically, then we have people from 8-years old onwards up to 90-years old using the equipment. As far as the capabilities are of the equipment in terms of injury rehab, the person has to at least be able to create a muscle contraction with maybe a 5-degree range of motion to be able to expend and retract the movement by 5 degrees with some minor muscle contraction to create an exercise strength curb or a repetition. So once the person’s to that stage, then they’re capable of rehabilitating on the equipment.

What results am I likely to get from using the FASTTWITCH ISO equipment?

The Isokinetic equipment placed in a general conditioning environment, an athletic training environment, and-or rehab environment, if in the case of an athlete who’s aiming to increase their vertical leap or their speed or power, it’s a combination of training techniques but really accentuated by – accelerated quickly by the use of high-speed Isokinetics because of the neurological impact of training the nervous system to increase load at higher speeds, which activates a Type IIB fast twitch muscle fiber. The results generally in a balanced training program happen inside four to six weeks. Three-month training program, we’ve seen people, which are base-measured for fast twitch muscle fiber activation is vertical leap. We’ve seen athletes improve their vertical leap in that time frame by 12 to 14 centimeters, which is after four or five weeks of vertical leap gain in that time, which is significant.

How expensive is FASTTWITCH ISO equipment?

In terms of comparison against isotonic weight equipment, it’s a bit more expensive, but probably no more expensive than buying an advanced treadmill. It’s a computerized product, and it has Isokinetic motors attached to it. So it’s more complex than an isotonic machine – not very much more expensive than a good quality treadmill, and much less expensive than an established Isokinetic equipment in the medical field that have been around for many years.

What is the estimated life span of the FASTTWITCH ISO equipment if used consistently?

In our research-training center, we’ve had the equipment in that center since 2010. Apart from the normal maintenance of upholstery that deteriorates due to just wear and tear, the frames and the equipment and the computers are still the same as when the original equipment was placed in the center. It’s been used and probably has done millions of cycles. The maintenance and serviceability of the equipment has been quite minimal.
